In 2004 I started receiving so much spam that I was forced to de-activate the Guest Book, therefore there is no entries for 2005 or 2006. I am a Grand daughter of Elbert Reynolds and Elverita Pauline "Whitley" Reynolds of Sapulpa,Oklahoma.They lived there most of their life died there and buried there. I know little about my family. I have never done this and I am at a loss at where all to look. I have made it to my great-great grandfather but can not located his parents names. His name was James Thomas Reynolds birth 4/20/1841 death 10/12/1900 He married Susan Johnson 8/5/1851-12/12/1943. They moved from VA to an area of Fentress County, TN called Little Crab. His son Matthew A. Reynolds is my great-great grandfather he married Elizabeth Beaty. Their Son Marson Reynolds is my great grandfather he married Ella Mae Buck they lived in Jamestown, TN where my grandfather Wayne H. Reynolds was born 2/22/1923 and died 3/1/1993. Reynolds Puerto Vallarta, Jal, Mexico - Friday, September 14, 2007 8:03 PM I heard stories growing up about a young lady by the name of Sarah/Sara Renee/Renea Reynolds that was born in approximately 1794 give or take a year. Her mother died when she was about 10, and she was raised by their house slave. Her father was involved in some sort of political dealings. They resided in Georgia around 1812 when Sara ran away from home at about 16 or 17 years old. If any of this sounds familiar, or if you know more of the story, please let me know. I was told that Sara went west, changed her name, ended up marrying the sherrif and died at the ripe old age of 80, which was unheard of back then. I don't know if any of it is true or not, but want to see if the story about a Sarah in Georgia rings a bell to anyone during that time frame. He married a Prudence Reynolds @1712 in Chester County Pa modern day it would be the Marcus Hook, Pa area. Prudence's parents were Henry Reynolds and Pudence Clayton. My great great great great grandfather was John Reynolds who was in the 1818 census of Jackson Co., IL. John Reynolds had two sons, James Madison Reynolds and Jackson Reynolds. John also had a daughter named Susan who married a David Sorrels in Jackson Co., IL. I descend from James Madison Reynolds. James married a Reynolds. Her name was Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Reynolds who was the daughter of Millenton/Millington "David" Reynolds. James and Elizabeth Reynolds' children were Amanda born around 1837, Dennis Wells Reynolds born in 1840, Eliza Adeline "Addie" born around 1842 and Martha Ann. There may have been another son, Rufus who was born in 1857. Elizabeth Ann Reynolds died in 1857 . I am still trying to find where she died and where she is buried. James and Elizabeth left Jackson Co., IL. in the late 1840s. In the 1850 census they are in Ripley Co., Missouri. In 1860 they are in Randolph County, ARK. I would appreciate any info on these two Reynolds families. My dad was born in north Alabama July 13 1953. his dad died only a year or two after that so I know very little about him. Wilard married Rose Standford in 1951 0r 52 i think. and they lived in Altoona and around Blountville Alabama. That is about all I know so if anyone can help me find my family tree that would be great.
