Pascal Eugene Johnson was the second child and first son of Samuel Thomas Johnson and Lula (Talulah) Masters Johnson. He studied at Draughan's Business College in Fort Worth. He was married in 1902 to Dosia Reynolds, who bore him two daughters, Sybil Elizabeth and Effie Mae. Dosia died of smallpox in 1911. Pascal met Ruby Ione Smith at the First Baptist Church of El Paso, and they were married January 25, 1916 in her parents' home in Longview Texas. Pascal and Ruby had two daughters, Charlotte Jean (1917-2012)and an unnamed infant girl who died in delivery in December 1926. Over the years the markers for Dosia (buried in J, lot 110, place 2) and for Ruby's second daughter who was buried on January 10, 1927 in section J, Lot65, place 1 1/2) have been lost. Pascal Eugene Johnson was long a Deacon in the First Baptist Church, and served as Treasurer of the church in the 1930s. Pascal and his brother Malcolm T Johnson operated the Johnson Milling and Grain Company in El Paso. The company failed during the great depression of the 1930s. P.E., as he was known, then formed the Western Sales Co., a regional distributor for a number of companies. He died on a buiness trip to Tucson in 1940. Mr. Johnson was 59 and had been a resident of El Paso 35 years. A member of the Board of Deacons of the First Baptist Church, Mr. Johnson was active in church affairs of the city. He was a member of El Paso Masonic Lodge No. 1137, and a 32 degree Mason. His brother Malcolm T Johnson is secretary of the City Civil Service Commission. Other survivors include his widow Mrs Ruby Ione Johnson, three daughters, Mrs Edward W. Grissom of El Paso, Mrs. Rufus T Higginbotham of Dallas, and Mrs Robert G Bowie of Rochester, N.Y.; and three sisters Mrs J.D. May of Omaha, Neb., Mrs Tom J Barrier of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. W.T. Barrier of Dallas. Funeral arrangements are pending with Peak-Hagedon.

Ruby Ione Smith Johnson was the eldest daughter of Judge John Tyson Smith and Nancy Melvina Skaggs. She was graduated from the University of Texas in 1907. She came to El Paso as a school teacher, where she met her husband at the First Baptist Church. Pascal was a widower with two daughters. Ruby raised those two daughters, her own daughter Charlotte, and a niece, Jane Wood. Ruby's second daughter died in delivery in 1925, and is buried at Evergreen Alameda with Ruby and Pascal, but the baby's headstone has been lost over time. After her husband's death in 1940, Ruby became a private tutor of pupils who needed help in reading and mathematics. She helped hundreds of students over more than forty years, retiring only when her eyesight failed after age 90. She lived until 1979 in the home her husband built for her when they were married.
