Welcome to the Reynolds Family Circle!
Greetings to family, friends, visitors and fellow genealogists! This website contains genealogical and biographical information on the descendants of William Reynolds and Jane Milliken who were married on August 23, 1790 in Greene County, Tennessee as well as on certain inter-related families. It was created with hopes of preserving the memories and history of our ancestors. Many of these people we know about, but many are forgotten because their records have been lost or destroyed through the years. In any case, it's hard to imagine where we'd be without their dreams, dedication and sacrifice. Our ancestors made it possible for us to live as we do today and we show our gratitude by learning about their life experiences. I hope this website gives you an opportunity to learn something new and exciting about your family.
Presented on this site is the combined information I have gathered on ancestors, descendants, cousins and potentially connected Reynolds and related families over the many years of researching. Contained within these pages are the details of over 9,000 cousins. To see them all, or to select one to view, click here. Alternatively, if you know the name of the person you are looking for, enter it in the search bar at the right of this page or use the advanced search facility.
The desire to understand our origins and our roots is a pervading drive in many of us. We cannot help being curious, and some of us get mildly obsessed with building the picture of our ancestors and their successes and failures. The interest starts with the fun of researching some unknown names from previous generations, linked by the accident of birth. It develops into an interest in the social and historical context of their place in the evolution of our modern civilization.
Family history is so much more than just a list of vital statistics and place names. Every family has its share of family lore, oral histories and traditions that should be preserved. So, even though you will find a lot of the usual ":begats" and other similar information, please take the time to check out the blog. I hope that family members from all the branches will take the time to share favorite family stories and traditions so they won’t be forgotten.
If you would be willing to share vital statistic information about your particular branch of the family, you can use the suggestion box and I will be happy to update your information. Even better, register to become a user and you will be able to have access to information only available to members of the extended Reynolds family, you will be able to edit existing or add new information to the tree.
More than anything, I want to share our family history in a way that is as interesting as it is informative. This project needs to be a collaborative effort for it to be successful and I welcome any information that will help fill in the many blanks still remaining in the family tree.
Due to the volume of data available through different sources and the event of human input, errors may exist within the data. Unless a source has been cited for individuals or data, please use at your own risk. Please feel free to use the Contact Us link on the menu to send any corrections or comments. While all efforts are taken for accuracy, unfortunately we do sometimes make mistakes. So, if you find any mistakes please contact us and we will correct them as soon as possible. The information presented in these pages would not have been possible without the assistance of other genealogists all over this land.
For privacy reasons, living individuals have had their data suppressed from this public forum. Additionally, some contributors do not wish their information available on the internet. This information is available on request through contacting us. We welcome all suggestions for change and improvement, and especially more data! If you'd like to join us and collaborate on making this site THE site to go to on the Reynolds family.

Note: At this point in time registration is not required for access to the entire database. That being said, some information is restricted, and some data and media is not available unless you register. Also, your registration will help me stay in touch with fellow researchers and aid in collaboration.
Your input to this website in the form of corrections or additional information is greatly valued. For this reason it is made available free to all who are interested. However, it does cost a lot to maintain the website, to keep contact with such a large family and to carry out research and updating. Contributions towards these costs would be greatly appreciated. They can be sent to Joe Reynolds, 1007 Stone Shore Street, Mount Pleasant, Texas 75455-7487.
