Wilson ReynoldsWilson Reynolds was the fifth child and third son born to David Reynolds and Plata Davis. Wilson was born in Douglas, Clark County, Illinois on May 16, 1834. On October 21, 1855 he married Harriet Ruth Lycan, the daughter of William W. Lycan and Rebecca Heady. He and Harriet, who was born in 1835 had a total of seven children, four girls and three boys. Their children were:
Wilson served with the Union Army during the Civil War. He was drafted on November 29, 1864 and sent to Company F, 50th Illinois Volunteers. He mustered out with the company on July 13, 1865, and returned to Clark County, Illinois. Wilson died at the age of 45 on February 10, 1880 in Clark County and is buried in the Forsythe Cemetery. His wife Harriet lived for another 26 years and died in 1906. |
